Where Food and medicine intersect

Where Food and medicine intersect

Gratis Healthcare held an open house at their new home here at Daniel’s Table on May 20th.  They received local, school committee members, local representatives, fellow doctors and nurses.  Guests enjoyed the presentation regarding telehealth visits and seeing the exam rooms completely set up.  “The exam rooms are set up as a traditional Dr.’s office would be and the client is treated with dignity and respect” said Dr. Kristin Howard.  Priscilla Sousa mentioned that “this was a gift to our community where many go so long without healthcare”.  It was an event to raise awareness of their ability to offer free healthcare to those who are uninsured or underinsured.

Daniel’s Table serves individuals and families who experience food insecurity, so our client base certainly intersects. During the Summer Framingham kids will be able to their School Physical Exam and get needed vaccines at the same time on June 27th, July 25th and August 29th. More dates for Physical Exams are available for kids from other locations. Please check their website www.gratishealth.org or send an email to gratishealthcare@gmail.com

We are so very happy to have them here as a valuable resource for our clients.  Food really is medicine here at Daniel’s Table!
