“I’ve been lucky in life, and I want to give back,” said Mickey. She is a mother of 4 and a retired nurse that comes every Wednesday to help set up the free market and to prepare grocery bags for delivery.

“I love all the people here and all the good that is done. Nothing is wasted and they help the community in so many ways”. Last winter Mickey brought her friends to distribute free hats and scarves they made to families in need. “The families were so grateful and happy with them. It was heart warming and made me happy too!”.

She learned about Daniel’s Table through her condo administrator. During a conversation she mentioned that two of her high school friends love volunteering at Daniel’s Table and she should give it a try. She’s been part of the DT family for over a year now.
