Short Story on Breast Cancer Awareness Month

Oct 5, 2022 | News and Updates

Our special volunteer Mary went for her yearly mammogram last Spring at a clinic in Framingham. During the exam the radiologist started a conversation.  She asked what Mary did for a living and Mary responded she was about to retire but had nothing planned.  The radiologist then told her she should consider volunteering at Daniel’s Table, because her mom volunteers there and loves it. Mary was quick to act, signed up to volunteer and joined team Daniel’s Table before Summer!

October is Breast Cancer Awareness Month. Mary is happy and healthy; she comes every week to help set up Daniel’s Market, a free farmer’s market for our registered guests.  To advocate and help spread the word about the importance of mammograms we would like to find this special radiologist and her mom to thank them for all that they do to prevent breast cancer and for finding Mary for us.

She has become an invaluable asset to Daniel’s Table.  Help us find this fabulous radiologist and her mom, whom we owe a debt of gratitude.  Thank you!
