Welcome Risa! We are so pleased she has agreed to share her extensive knowledge and amazing ideas to our organization. We look forward to our work together! Now, Meet Risa,
“I was born in Boston and grew up in Brookline. I graduated from Beaver country Day school and the George Washington University with a major in urban planning and a minor in political science. I was a mortgage banker until children and then I stopped working for a little while. I started volunteering for JFSMW when my kids were very young and I worked myself into a job. I started out part-time and I ended up 25 years later as the full-time business office manager. I love the nonprofit world. I went to work every day knowing that I was working with people who really cared about what happened to the world and the people in it . I loved working with the clients and I had a special relationship with many of our elders and also our families from the Syrian humanitarian project. I retired in 2021 and moved to Cape Cod. Now I volunteer, I take care of my elderly parents, and I am thrilled and privileged to be now a part of Daniel‘s table.”
