Celebrate National Grandparents Day

Celebrate National Grandparents Day

Sep 7, 2022 | News and Updates

Thanks to a federal proclamation signed by President Jimmy Carter, Grandparents Day became an official holiday in 1978.

September 11th is National Grandparents Day. It celebrates and honors the important role grandparents play across generations.

How about to start a new tradition in your family celebrating Grandparents Day?

An idea is to bring grandkids to volunteer. A great opportunity for a quality family time and to create memories. Some of our volunteers are grandparents and have brought their grandkids to volunteer at Daniel’s Table (it was their idea).

Or adopt a grandparent, there are a lot of initiatives to create lasting relationships between youth and the elderly.

Enjoy your day in lovely company!
