Janis began volunteering at Daniel’s Table in 2024 after years of donating and volunteering at various non-profit organizations. She first learned about Daniel’s Table during one of her children’s sports games and was drawn to join our mission after finding herself with more free time on her hands.

“I found a very supportive group of women here, and it’s awesome to see the outcomes of our donations and volunteer work firsthand,” says Janis. “It’s also been an eye-opening experience. Since I started, I’ve noticed that many of our clients speak Portuguese, so I challenged myself to learn a little of the language, and I’ve been practicing every night!”

Janis’s dedication to helping others and her enthusiasm for learning new things make her an invaluable member of our team. Plus, we know her love for chocolate keeps her fueled for all the great work she does!
