National Food is Medicine Day

National Food is Medicine Day

Sep 8, 2022 | News and Updates

National Food is Medicine Day is celebrated in the United States on September 14. Health and food organizations use the day to raise awareness about the barriers to good food in the U.S.
Malnutrition is a threat that is getting worse quickly. Let’s work together to develop solutions that make it simpler for more people to get healthy food.

The World Committee on Food Security has said: “malnutrition in all its forms, including hunger, lack of micronutrients, overweight, and obesity, is a major problem not only in developing countries but also in developed countries.”

The main causes of diseases today are poor diets and to the lack of exercising. These lead to poor quality life and hospitalization that rises health care costs.

Eating healthy can improve lives in many ways. Healthy food is a natural medicine so be selective of what you eat.
