2021 Mobile Distribution at Harmony Grove
In July, Daniel’s Table in partnership with the Framingham Public Schools will run its mobile food distribution at Harmony Grove Elementary School. The groceries are distributed to families after dismissal on Thursdays beginning at 3:30. All families with children in the summer program are invited to receive groceries.
Last summer, we served over 200 families and gave them enough food for over 20 meals! “It’s a great way to give groceries to families in a place where they are already going,” says Larissa Patrocinio, OST Program Coordinator at Harmony Grove.
This year we anticipate even more families taking advantage of this resource. With the help of volunteers, neighbors will receive 3 grocery bags with fresh produce, proteins, dairy and pantry staples. Daniel’s Table hopes this mobile distribution will ensure that families will receive the additional food support needed during the summer months.
“We are excited to be able to offer this resource to our Neighbors again this year!” says Tom O’Reilly, lead volunteer of this initiative. Tom goes on to say that this is a wonderful experience for him to see the happy faces of the neighbors receiving the food.
