A Word from Our Founders
Alicia and I are deeply moved to stand with you at this pivotal moment in our journey. Since 2012, alongside our friend and now Executive Director, Sandra Montesino, we’ve poured our hearts into guiding Daniel’s Table into becoming a vital resource of critical support within the MetroWest community.
What began as a humble act of compassion—making 50 sandwiches each Saturday for Framingham’s homeless—has blossomed into something extraordinary. Together, we pioneered Massachusetts’ first immediate response freezer network, we developed an impactful nutritional education component that has lifelong impact on the lives of children and their families, and we created our legendary Client Choice Farmer’s Market that provides hundreds of thousands of meals each year. Of course we didn’t do this alone. It was the individuals, foundations and corporations that willingly shared their generosity with us that made it all happen. Without them, and without you, Daniel’s Table would not exist.
Today, with hearts full of gratitude, Alicia and I share with you not just our excitement but a profound personal legacy in memory of our late son Daniel Ryan Blais as we create this next chapter for Daniel’s Table. Our bold vision, this legacy, anchored by a transformative new home, ensures we’ll stand with this community for generations to come.
In the fall of 2026, we’ll unveil a space filled with potential: a 3,500-square-foot commercial production kitchen, a wellness center with six exam rooms & counseling spaces and a vibrant community hub for our Daniel’s Table Farmer’s Market and community gatherings. All this will be woven together through a holistic approach to food security and nurturing wellness. Another MetroWest first.
But this is not our triumph alone. It’s yours. Join us as we build healthier families, stronger neighborhoods, and a future where no one faces hunger alone. Together, we are unstoppable.
Our vision
Daniel’s Table is creating food security in our community.
Our mission
Daniel’s Table ensures reliable access to nutritious food. We support our neighbors with dignity and respect empowering our community with education and resources. Through strong partnerships, we drive positive change, paving the way for self-sufficiency and lasting impact.
Why a place to belong is essential
From its inception, Daniel’s Table has embodied the very best of what nonprofit work can achieve. Our approach—combining innovation with compassion, and programming rooted in empathy and education—has become our hallmark.
This new facility represents the natural evolution of that mission.
We stand at a critical juncture:
food insecurity in our community is rising, but so will our capacity to address it. It is both our duty and our privilege to serve those in need and to honor the trust of supporters like you.
Together, we will elevate Daniel’s Table to its rightful place as a leader in food security across the MetroWest region.
What will it take?
At Daniel’s Table, we are on a mission to combat food insecurity, foster community, and provide dignity to all.
Our vision for a new facility is not just about bricks and mortar—it’s about empowering us to serve more families, expand our programs, and create lasting change.
The total cost of the new facility is $1,965,000
We’ve broken this journey into three phases:
Phase 1
Completed. The sale of our current building has secured a 99-year lease at just $10 a month for the new facility, ensuring long-term sustainability.
Phase 2
Securing the remaining funding. This will be done through generous donations and substantial business and foundation partnerships, that will allow us to move forward with the construction.
Phase 3
Full buildout of the new facility, where we will expand services and create a home that enables us to continue making a lasting impact in the community.
We need the entire community—residents, businesses, and local organizations—to come together and support this effort.
Your contribution, no matter the size, will help us create a sustainable resource for The MetroWest region.
Building a Healthier, Stronger Community
At Daniel’s Table, we believe food security goes beyond providing meals—it’s about ensuring overall well-being. Through this capital campaign, we will expand our facilities to provide fresh, nutritious food, essential health resources, and a dignified shopping experience.
